My name is Kassidy and I believe that the most important things in life are the relationships we make. It is my philosophy that understanding leads to compassion and compassion leads to connection. As a therapist, I strive to understand people better and help them understand each other and themselves. I know that there are a lot of things that come in the way of connection, whether that’s betrayal, anxiety, depression, communication, or anything else. Increasing healing through understanding is my goal.
I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa but I’ve called many places home. I enjoy singing, painting, camping, and spending time with people I love. I have witnessed how harmful and healing relationships can be, and that led me here! As a therapist I have experience working with premarital and newlywed couples, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, transitional periods, and many relational issues. I strive to understand people within their context from a systemic perspective. In therapy, I recognize that while some things require change, others simply require acceptance. My hope is to work with you to increase compassion and connection in all aspects of life.
We all need help sometimes, and sometimes just getting a little bit of help makes all the difference. I'm here to help individuals, couples, and families from systemic, emotionally focused, acceptance based perspectives.
